Protect Your Heart is a DIY, Los Angeles-based five-piece known for their take on heavy pop-punk and easycore—or as they affectionately refer to it, “pop punk with breakdowns.”

Comprised of members Matty McDonald, Jake Bratrude, Anthony Palazzole, Mauricio Prado, and Kean Bartelman, Protect Your Heart has earned a reputation for radio-ready hooks, genre-agnostic songwriting, and big, booming breakdowns, culminating in a sound that is uniquely their own.

Following the release of their independent debut LP “[re]introduction” in the fall of 2022, Protect Your Heart experienced a number of “firsts” in 2023—selling out their first headline show at the infamous Viper Room in Los Angeles, embarking on their first-ever headline tour, “The Gone Forever Tour,” and launching three new singles, music videos, and the band’s flagship apparel line.

As Protect Your Heart looks to continue their upward trajectory and pushes forward in 2024, fans can expect a bevy of new sounds, new singles, and unexpected collaborations as the group remains focused on refining their sound and pushing PYH forward through their relentlessly determined DIY attitude.
